Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MacroQuest collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you create an account or use the service.

Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, MacroQuest may process your email address, display name, profile settings, nutrition goals, food and planned-food entries, water logs, activity logs, avatar choices, XP, levels, Gold, quests, titles, and related usage data. If you use the optional macro-goal calculator, MacroQuest may also store the age, height, weight, activity level, workout frequency, goal selections, unit preference, and calorie-equation option you provide, along with the resulting estimated targets.

How we use information

We use this information to operate your account, calculate nutrition and game progress, maintain your saved history, provide account security and support, and improve MacroQuest.

Authentication and service providers

MacroQuest uses third-party service providers to operate parts of the service. Authentication may be handled by Supabase, email delivery may be handled by Resend, and hosting/database services may be provided by Cloudflare. Food search, barcode, or nutrition features may also rely on third-party data providers. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.

Data separation

Account-linked MacroQuest data is intended to be associated with the authenticated user account. Security controls are used to prevent one user from intentionally accessing another user's private MacroQuest records.

Sale of personal information

MacroQuest does not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

Information may be retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to operate the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Account deletion and data deletion functionality may remove or anonymize eligible account data. Contact support if you need assistance with deletion.

Data exports

Where the service provides an export feature, exports are intended to include only information associated with the authenticated account.

Security

MacroQuest uses reasonable technical safeguards, including authenticated sessions and account-scoped data access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

MacroQuest is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent would be legally required. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact support.

Your choices

You may update certain profile information within MacroQuest. You may also request help with account or data questions by contacting arky@arkayy.com.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as MacroQuest changes. The “Last updated” date will be revised when material changes are published.
