Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of MacroQuest. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

What MacroQuest is

MacroQuest is a gamified wellness application that lets users log meals, hydration, activity, and related habits while earning fictional character progression such as stats, XP, levels, Gold, quests, and titles.

Not medical advice

MacroQuest is for general informational, motivational, and entertainment purposes. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or individualized medical or dietetic advice. Nutrition, calorie, macro, barcode, food-database, activity, and target-calculation information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular person. See the Wellness Disclaimer.

Macro goal calculator

MacroQuest may offer an optional questionnaire that estimates basal metabolic rate, maintenance calories, and starting calorie and macronutrient targets using information you provide, such as age, height, weight, activity level, workout frequency, and selected goals. These calculations are estimates only and may differ substantially from your actual energy or nutrition needs.

The automatic macro-goal calculator is intended for adults age 18 or older. You are responsible for reviewing the information you enter and the targets produced. You may edit your targets manually at any time. MacroQuest does not guarantee weight loss, weight gain, muscle gain, body recomposition, athletic improvement, or any other health or fitness outcome.

People with medical conditions, pregnancy, dietary restrictions, medication considerations, eating-disorder concerns, or specialized nutrition needs should seek appropriate professional guidance before making significant changes based on an estimate from MacroQuest.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity performed through your account. You agree to provide accurate information and not impersonate another person.

Acceptable use

You may not use MacroQuest to attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, abuse APIs or infrastructure, distribute malware, commit fraud, scrape or exploit private user information, or violate applicable law.

Third-party services and data

MacroQuest may depend on third-party hosting, authentication, email, food databases, barcode sources, analytics, or APIs. Availability and accuracy of those services are outside MacroQuest's control.

Virtual progression

XP, levels, Gold, stats, quests, titles, and similar game elements are virtual motivational features. They have no cash value and are not redeemable for money or property.

Service changes

Features, calculations, rewards, availability, and these Terms may change over time. MacroQuest may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.

Suspension and termination

Access may be limited or terminated for abuse, security risks, violations of these Terms, or conduct that threatens the service or other users.

Disclaimers

MacroQuest is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. No guarantee is made that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MacroQuest and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
